Sanjay Dutt upset with ex-wife Rhea Pillai

Sanjay Dutt is trying to keep himself busy with his work to try and take his mind off the immense negativity that people seem to have for his wife Manyata. First it was his family including sisters and daughter who seemed to dislike Manyata and now it seems like the dislike is extending to others. Sanjay is already upset with the various allegations that Manyata's ex husband is making that she is still not legally divorced from him, however he is not willing to talk about the matter as it is now in court and too personal. But what Sanjay cannot fathom is why his-ex-wife Rhea Pillai recently spoke ill about current wife Manyata. Sanjay is clearly displeased and upset with Rhea.

Sanjay Dutt is extremely hurt and upset that various people and the media seem to be raking up one controversy after the other regarding his current wife Manyata. Sanjay says, "I don’t understand why Manyata is being constantly targeted. It gets to her. Ever since we got married, it’s just been unstoppable. It’s about her past or my past..etc." Sanjay claims that Manyata was recently very upset and hurt when she read an article which had his ex-wife Rhea lashing out at Manyata. Sanjay said, "I have never seen Maanyata as shaken up as she was two days ago. It’s affected her health. She kept asking me, “What have I done to her that she is blaming me.”

Sanjay Dutt admitted that he has been paying all Rhea's bills and expenses ranging from 60,000 to 8 lakhs a month sometimes, till recently when they got legally divorced. Although Sanjay is uncomfortable talking about this, he decided to do so after Rhea lashed out at Manyata. Sanjay said, "Ideally, I’d never talk about it. It should’ve remained between Rhea and me, but now that everything is being said in the press, then yes, I admit I have been taking care of all her bills." Dutt is upset with Rhea, his ex-wife as she claimed that Manyata is desperately craving the name that she has given up a long time ago. Dutt felt that if Rhea could say something like that then she should have also given up everything that came with the Dutt name a long time ago. Despite the fact that Rhea and Sanjay separated a long time back, it comes as a surprise that the two divorced legally only last month. Sanjay however claims that he had earlier asked Rhea for a divorce, but is not comfortable with adding that she perhaps did not want to give him a divorce and lose the financial support that she got from him.

Dutt claims that Rhea and Manyata have met and the latter has always respected Rhea for standing by him in his troubled times, he said, "I can assure you, Maana has never said a word against Rhea." However Sanjay feels that though Manyata did not say anything about him supporting his ex-wife, she would not be wrong if she had made a fuss about it. Sanjay elaborates saying, "No wife would tolerate her husband supporting his ex-wife. Especially if the first wife was happily married to someone else who is in a position to support her. But Manyata never even brought this up with me. It was unfair of Rhea to drag her name into it. Besides I have to start thinking about making myself and Manyata secure. I am working hard and it’s time I started thinking about myself."

However now that Sanjay's divorce with ex-wife Rhea Pillai came through legally, he will no longer support Rhea as it is not his duty anymore. Sanjay now wants to concentrate on doing good work and his new life with Manyata.
