Dhoni's security upgraded after extortion

threat to harm his family if he does not pay up
Rs 50 lakh. However, the police said they are taking
"all precautionary measures" and that

Air India slashes fares by 35 to 80 per
cent

Delhi: After private airlines Jet and Kingfisher
announced a cut in their airfares, Air India on
Tuesday too slashed ticket prices following a
steep fall in fuel prices. The airline
is cutting basic fares by 35 to 81 per cent in
basic fares on 19 domestic sectors. Air India
says the lower prices will come into effect from
Tuesday, December 30. The reduction will be applicable
to all domestic sectors.

of employees, saying everything possible was being

Meet the man who got 287 letters in a
day!
London, July
14: A Cheshire-based man was flooded with
287 letters from a bank, all arriving in the
same post, confirming that his credit card
had been cancelled. Twenty-nine-year-old John
Tiemens received the confirmations letters
from Capital One after he cancelled his card
to get a better rate with another bank, so
that he could pay for his honeymoon with his
fiancee Louise Marland.
"I hadn't a clue
what was going on. Then I picked up some of
the letters and realised they were all identical.
There were so many letters the postman had
resorted to tying them in batches with elastic
bands,” the Mirror quoted John from
Runcorn as saying.
"I feel sorry for
the poor postman who had to deliver that lot.
It was like having another street on his round,"
he said further.
A spokesman for Capital
One apologised, and blamed a computer glitch
at its Nottingham headquarters.
