The troubled life and times of Rahul Mahajan
New Delhi: His life is the kind of spectacle that television thrives on. One reason perhaps is that Rahul Mahajan understands television very well.
Not so long ago, when he was still an unknown entity, Rahul Mahajan was a television producer for Doordarshan but the spotlight turned on him, in May 2006 when he lost his father to an alleged fratricide and even before that faded in public memory, came another shocker.

On June 3rd 2006, Rahul Mahajan was hospitalised and his father's close friend Vivek Moitra was found dead in the same house. It was suspected to be a case of drug over dose. Well the case is still in a Patiala house court in Delhi but Rahul was granted bail last year.

If that sounds dramatic enough, add to that a messy divorce after 13 years of courtship Rahul Mahajan had married Shweta Singh in August 2006, a party attended by the power set of the country. But the turbulence hit wedlock soon after, and the divorce case was settled in August this year.

But by now Rahul had locked himself up away from the world, not out of any heartburn but because he had decided to be a participant in the second edition of the Big Boss.

Rahul Mahajan uncensored was an instantaneous hit; of course one party that did not find it funny was the BJP.

After his father's death BJP had invited Mahajan Junior to be a part of the parivar. But his fans aren’t complaining be it Facebook profile or his official Big Boss website: Mahajan Junior is enjoying the spotlight.

Now after his exit from the Bigg Boss, one is sure Rahul would be heading straight to his bank, after all he has pocketed millions from what many call his cute and cuddly act.
