Narco test for Krishna?

A day after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) confirmed that Arushi's murder was pre-meditated and deliberate, the CBI took prime suspect -- Compounder Krishna to an undisclosed location reportedly for a narco-analysis test. This move comes in after the CBI conducted the second lie detector test on Krishna in connection with the gruesome murder of Arushi and domestic help Hemraj on Tuesday (June 10).

Sources said that Krishna, the 23-year-old Nepalese compounder, cracked during the interrogation by the CBI. He has reportedly told the sleuths that he knows where the murder weapon may be.

Krishna has now emerged as the focus of the CBI investigations which now seem to have virtually discarded the approach taken by the UP police earlier, that labelled Arushi's father Dr Talwar prime suspect and suggested the murder was a crime of passion. The case was subsequently transferred to the premier investigation agency.

It has been established, from fingerprints lifted from the scene of crime, that Krishna was at the Talwar home in Noida on the night of May 15 when Arushi and Hemraj, the family's domestic help, were murdered.

Sources said the man, who had been Dr Talwar's receptionist and compounder till the schoolgirl was murdered, said during interrogation that he could lead CBI's sleuths to the murder weapon and the missing mobile phones of the deceased.

His lie detector tests, conducted on Monday and Tuesday, indicates the murder weapon was possibly a khukri - a Nepalese knife.

However, following the lie detector test, Krishna himself on Tuesday alleged that investigating agencies and doctors were colluding to frame him in an attempt to save the father of the slain girl.

In remarks that gave a new twist to the sensational Noida double murder, Krishna protested his innocence and said he had not killed the 14-year-old girl. "I did not do anything. I did not kill Arushi," a sobbing Krishna said after he was subjected to a lie detector test for the second consecutive day on Tuesday (June 10).

CBI: Twin murder a pre-meditated plan

Earlier on Tuesday (June 10) CBI said that the twin murder, including that of Arushi, was a pre-meditated plan and not done on the spur of the moment, as claimed by Noida police. Highly placed sources in CBI said that the "murderers", which can be two in number, had planned these murders well in advance and studied all cover-up operations meticulously.

With this observation, the theory of Noida police that Rajesh Talwar had allegedly murdered his daughter Arushi and domestic help Hemraj on the spur of the moment after finding them in an objectionable position', has fallen flat. Sources say the killers had gained friendly entry into the house before committing the ghastly crime.

A CBI team had re-visited the Talwar's residence in Noida last night and re-created the entire crime scene again, based on the statement given by the compounder. Some of the relatives of Arushi and Hemraj were also questioned by the agency.

Meanwhile, the bail application of Dr Talwar, prime accused in the twin murder, was dismissed by a CBI special court yesterday (June 10) saying it was not empowered to take up the matter. Talwar was arrested on May 23 by the Noida Police.

UP police began the probe but soon faced allegations over improper investigation. Following this, the case was transferred to CBI which began its probe on June 1.
